Colorado School of Mines Homecoming continues today, with a carnival on the North IM Fields from 1-3, a scavenger hunt at 4:30, and field day challenges on the North IM Fields from 4-6. Get the details….

The Golden History Museum is offering a tour of the School of Mines campus this afternoon from 1-3.

Golden River Sports invites you to the store for some free after-hours movies tonight, from 6:30-8:15. They’re showing “Hanging Spear – Headwaters of the Hudson River” and “A Glorious Way To Die.”

Foothills Art Center is hosting an Open House/Reception for all local area artists tonight from 6-8PM. Meet the staff, see the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibit, learn about the upcoming Members’ Show and other programs at FAC. This event is FREE for FAC Members and Area Artists!

If you have horses, you’ll want to visit the Horse Protection League’s Tack Sale on Friday or Saturday. They offer great deals (like 50-90% off) on horse tack, leather goods, show clothing, boots, hats, and other horse related stuff.  All of the proceeds go to help the rescue horses. The sale runs October 7th & 8th, 9AM-5PM.
