The Golden Library starts their Holiday Book Sale today. Almost NEW books for SALE. Gift-ready books for the holidays! Spread the Christmas cheer this year with a book, CD or DVD! All proceeds fund the Jefferson County Public Library. The sale runs today (Friday) from 9-5 and tomorrow from 9-4.
Golden High School’s Holiday Band Concert is tonight at 7PM.
Have you seen A Christmas Carol at Miners Alley Playhouse? They have shows tonight and Saturday at 7:30, Sunday at 1 and 6. Next week they will have shows Thursday through Sunday, and the final week of this run they will have performances Tuesday (the 19th) through Saturday (the 23rd).

Tomorrow morning’s parade starts at 10:30AM. They step off at 10th and Washington and turn off of Washington at 13th Street. Several hours of festivities, including free carriage rides, will follow.

The Lookout Mountain Nature Center will celebrate Nature’s Gifts tomorrow morning from 10AM-noon. Hey all you young naturalists! Have fun making nature-related holiday crafts for your loved ones. Get into the holiday spirit by making handmade nature crafts, which include snowflake crayon rubbing wrapping paper, a paper tube owl ornament, a potato print forest card, and more!
Families with kids of all ages are welcome! (crafts are geared towards ages 3 – 8 yrs old) Crafts will be available between 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. so feel free to drop in any time during those hours. Suggested donation: $3 per child
