At 6PM, the Golden Investment Forum Task Force will meet in City Council Chambers. The Director of Community and Economic Development brought an interim report to City Council on September 13th. Council asked the Task Force to continue evaluating the possibilities. In the near term, we are likely to put a lodging task on the ballot in 2019. If we do, where should the proceeds be spent? Front-runners are cultural organizations and open space acquisition. There are also many other items on the city’s wish list, including affordable housing, parks, rec, and museum facilities upgrades, city-wide broadband, a new city hall, and lots more. The City is interested in a bond measure to cover some of the rest of those desires. Learn more….
The moon will be full at 8:52 tonight.
The last Golden Bike Cruise of the year takes place tomorrow night. The optional costume theme is ZOMBIES!
