Yesterday’s Great Golden Trivia Race, celebrating the Chamber of Commerce’s 100th anniversary, was a huge success. The Chamber sold out of tickets and everyone said they had fun and learned more about Golden. Congratulations to the Chamber for finding such a fun, innovative, and Covid-safe way to celebrate a huge milestone!

Golden History Moment
Eight years ago today (September 13, 2012) President Obama visited Golden and gave a speech in Lions Park, near the Recreation Center. The most memorable part of the speech was his remark, “I don’t see how you guys get anything done here–it’s too pretty!”
The President was introduced by Colorado-based Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. Golden had good reason to be excited: the last sitting president to have visited Golden was Ulysses S. Grant.
