5:30PM Proposed Heritage Square Exchange Community Meeting
The County will hold a public meeting to provide updates on the proposed land swap. As a reminder–Martin Marietta Materials wants to expand their quarry and proposed to exchange a piece of Matthews-Winters Park for the site that used to contain the Heritage Square Amusement Park. Martin Marietta also owns a piece of Bachman property, adjacent to some that already belongs to the city. They propose including that as part of the swap. Jeffco Open Space would then turn it over to the City of Golden. Learn more….

6PM Tonight’s Golden Beer Talk will be presented by Michael Kerwin, PhD, University of Denver. His topic is The Day Cape Town Nearly Ran Out of Water: Implications for Drought and Water Supply in the Denver Area. This topic is definitely pertinent to Colorado, with our ever-increasing population, all clamoring for the same scarce water supply. Tonight’s guest tap is Colorado Plus Cidery, which makes both beer and cider. They’ll have one of each available this evening. The doors (at the Buffalo Rose Events Center) open at 6 and the talk will start at about 6:35. Learn more….
