Of Interest to Golden Groupies (like me):

Since the early-1990s, I’ve bought a Leadership Golden ornament every year. It’s always fun to see which Golden scene or building they’ve chosen to depict–the Astor House, Guy Hill School House, the 1950s Golden High School, the 1920s Golden High School, Guggenheim Hall, and so many other Golden gems. After several years of collecting, I learned that Avenue Gifts had a few of the older ornaments, so I was able to acquire some of the years I was missing. The only one I was unable to find was the very first one. Two years ago, Donna Owen at Avenue Gifts mentioned that she had recently received a complete set, including the first one. I immediately bought it, so now I have a complete set–woo-hoo!

Jean Kane recently mentioned that she has TWO complete sets of Leadership Golden ornaments (that’s 35 ornaments). She’s willing to sell each set for $400. This year’s ornaments are selling for $12 each. It you multiplied the 35 ornaments by $12, the total would be $420, so Jean’s price of $400 is quite fair.  In case you’re interested–her number is 303-877-8487.
