Golden High School’s PTA is raising funds for Afterprom, senior scholarships and classroom grants tonight with a chili cookoff. Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door and include a bowl, spoon and bottle of water. The evening will also feature a silent auction, raffle and bake sale. City Council will meet at 6:30. They will hold a public hearing on a proposed new form of ticketing called an “administrative citation.” These can be issued by non-sworn officers for violations such as littering, parking, and off-leash animals. Another public hearing will be held regarding a moratorium to be put in place regarding sales of recreational marijuana. The Economic Development Commission will present their 2013 Work Plan. The City Manager will make recommendations regarding the $3.6 million windfall that the city recently received through a sales tax audit.
