From 5:30-7:30 this evening, the Library will celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday! Calling all wizards, witches, and friendly muggles of all ages Celebrate Harry’s Birthday by wearing your favorite wizarding gear and enjoying an evening of trivia, crafts, and snacks!
The Golden Bicycle Cruise Mustache Ride will meet up tonight at 6PM in the parking lot at 10th & Illinois. Tonight’s music is provided by Thunder and Rain. The Golden Bicycle Cruise rides on the last Tuesday of the month from May to September. This family friendly event meets at the parking lot west of the Golden Public library. Same format as years past….Kegs tapped at 6:00 p.m. in the library parking lot (site of the Golden Farmer’s Market). Ride starts at 7:00 p.m. Festivities continue with food, beer and music until 9:30 p.m. And the food sponsor for this year’s cruise is…..BOB’S ATOMIC BURGERS!!! A Golden favorite, Bob’s will be serving burgers, hot dogs, chips and a vegetarian option. Something great to go with your New Terrain brew! More information….

Trout Unlimited will have their Chapter Picnic in Lions Park from 4-9PM.
The Planning Commission will meet in City Council Chambers at 6:30PM. They will consider a request by the new Shelton Studio Ranch development (map) to allow a height increase on “principle structures” to 35 feet and accessory structures to 25 feet. This would match the height limits of adjacent neighborhoods. They will consider a site plan for a new approximately 9,000 sq ft light industrial building at 831 Pine Ridge Road (map). “The building itself will be intended for light industrial uses, with the first proposed tenant to be a bouldering gym, which does not need the high walls of a typical climbing gym.” Finally, they will “discuss recommendations to Council regarding additional updates to the Sustainability Menu (Chapter 18.40), and Urban Agriculture regulations (Chapter 18.26).
