Harry Potter Week at the Library

Harry Potter at the Library

The Jeffco Public Schools are off this week, so the Library is pitching in with special Harry Potter events during the normal school day.

Monday

Movie Time – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone from 2:30-5PM
Watch how it all began with popcorn, then create your own Hogwarts House button. Children, teens and their families are welcome.

Tuesday
Animals of the Wizarding World from 2-3PM

Some fantastical beasts from the popular Harry Potter books and movies are real-life creatures! Nature’s Educator’s staff introduce you to some of the real animals featured in the stories. Learn about their roles in the story, their habitats, diets, and natural history. This event is limited to 45 people and they’re full, but they do have a waiting list.  Registration required at jeffcolibrary.org, in the library, or by calling 303-235-5275.

Wednesday
Workshop on Wand Making from 4-5PM

They say the wand chooses the wizard. Choose to make your own wand at this fun workshop. Suitable for: Ages 6-12
