August 1st is Colorado Day–the anniversary of date we became a state. To celebrate, admission to all state parks WILL BE FREE ON MONDAY, AUGUST 4TH. We have a nice one, not far away: Golden Gate Canyon State Park. (My apologies–earlier, this page said the free day was today. It’s not–it’s Monday.)
Closer to home, don’t forget the First Friday Street Fair tonight, from 5-9, or Movies and Music in the Park, starting at 7. We’ll have just a sliver of a moon, and it should be an enchanting night in Golden.
Golden City Councilor Saoirse Charis-Graves will have her monthly “Coffee with a Councilor” tomorrow morning at 10, at Bean Fosters.
