Lookout Mountain Nature Center will have their annual “Halloween Tales and Trails” this Saturday, October 22nd, from 1-6PM.
Our Halloween festival will feature many activities perfect for a family friendly, non-scary, fun filled day! Enjoy seasonal crafts, stories, and games at our annual Halloween festival.
Guided hikes: When you arrive, check-in at the front table to pick your hike time. Hikes are limited to 25 participants. Once all tickets for a hike time are gone that time will no longer be available. Hikes will leave every 10 minutes until ~1 hour before the festival ends. Guided hikes are 1 hour in length. The guided hike takes place on our Forest Loop trail (length: 0.6 mile). Please wear good walking shoes as this trail can be rocky in areas. Check-in and all activities start at 1:00 pm. All hikes and activities end promptly at 6:00 pm.
Please give yourself enough time to do all the activities, crafts, etc. that you are interested. Costumes are encouraged but not required! We especially encourage costumes that are easy to hike and play outside in. Please bring your own traveling mug so you can indulge in our delicious hot chocolate! Let’s play and learn outside! This is an indoor/outdoor program that will take place rain, snow, or shine! So, dress accordingly. Dogs are not allowed on our trails. Please leave the furry family members at home. All ages/Family Register. Suggested donation: $10/family, $5/individual. (cash & check preferred)
