Halloween is drawing nigh, and the Golden Library wants to help you get ready for it. They’re having a Costume Creation Workshop this afternoon from 1-3PM. Go incognito! Create your most impressive costume yet. We supply the basic materials – cardboard, tape and recyclables – you supply the ideas and creativity. Experts help with creative conundrums and provide tools such as sewing machines and soldering irons. Bring your costume supplies and get designing! Suitable for adults, teens, and tweens.

Colorado Haunted History is giving one of their excellent “Murder, Mayhem, and Madnesstours tonight from 7-9PM. Meet at the Visitors Center (10th and Washington) for a walk around downtown Golden and tales of the wild, wild west that this town once was. Tales include lynchings, shootouts, murder, and mayhem. See the park named after an innocent man hanged by a mob and the location where Golden’s ‘Night of Terror’ took place. Hear what nefarious activities used to take place on top of Golden’s Castle Rock, what paranormal activity may have forced a building to be shortened by one floor, and much more. Reservations: E-mail tours@coloradohauntedhistory.com or call 888-649-3849.  This tour is not recommended for kids.
