As mentioned yesterday, the Christian Action Guild is celebrating their 50th Anniversary today! This remarkable, all-volunteer organization has been running a food pantry to help hungry Golden families since 1966. Please stop by to congratulate them during their celebration, which will run from 1-3 at 1401 Ford Street. If you’re ever looking for a worthwhile organization to support–one which focuses strictly on Golden–remember the Christian Action Guild. (Despite the name, they are a non-denominational group which does not ask the religion of the people they help.)
This is the last day of the Spring Whale of A Used Book Sale. It’s BAG DAY! That means that for just $6, you can fill a grocery bag with books, DVDs, and audiobooks! The sale is open from 11AM-3PM today, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 West Sixth Avenue, Golden, CO (map). All proceeds support the Library!
