Foothills Art Center is opening a new exhibit today: Hal Shelton: Vistas, Mountains, and Canyon Lands. Hal Shelton had a long and prolific career as an artist. He lived in Golden for decades prior to his death in 2004. Shelton Elementary school was named in honor of Hal and his wife Mary Shelton. Many of the pieces in this exhibit have never before been publicly displayed.
