The Golden Urban Renewal Authority (GURA) meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council chambers. They will discuss the June 18th open house, to be held in partnership with the Downtown Development Authority. They will review ways that GURA can help fund affordable housing. They will consider the public finance agreement for the Gateway Village URA. The City has received a building permit application for a large storage project in the Gateway Center area. Representatives from the Confluence Company will be there to describe their construction plans for the Briarwood Inn property at the west end of 8th Street. They may agree to accept GURA funding to use part of the development as workforce housing. See the meeting packet for more information….
