Tonight is the Golden Bicycle Cruise. The theme is tie dye, so get your groove on and join them. The Golden Optimists will have a kids bike decorating tent beforehand, and the best bike decorations from home or from the Optimists’ tent will win 5 passes to Splash, which are good for adults or kids, so the whole family can enjoy Golden’s outdoor pool and water park.
Here’s how the Cruise works: They start at the Farmer’s Market parking lot just west of the library on 10th and Illinois. There will be prize drawings (including a cruiser bike!) for kids before the ride. At 7:00, they head west on the bike path cross the Hwy 6 overpass, and ride to New Loveland Mine Park. They rest there for 10-15 minutes. then ride back via Rubey Road to Iowa Street to Ford Street, through Vanover Park, and along the Creek Path back to the library. There, they live music and beer until 9:30, and prize drawings for the adults at 9.
The Golden History Museum is doing a survey to gauge how people connect to and feel about the City of Golden It takes 5-10 minutes to complete. You can do it anonymously, or may choose to provide contact information if you’re willing to be interviewed about some of your responses. Please take the survey and share it with others!
The restrictions have been lifted on access to Clear Creek. See the City’s site for the details.
