Golden Summer Sunday: Produce & Yoga, Trains & Dinosaurs, Art & Music

This week, the Farm Stand will have Arugula, Eggplant, Garlic, Kale, Kohlrabi, Organic Mushrooms, Microgreens, Palisade Peaches, Peppers (Anaheim, Poblano, Jalapeno, Pueblo) Salad Mix, Summer Squash, Pico de Gallo Grab Bag, Zinnia & Dahlias by the stem, Chives, Genovese Basil, Thai Basil, Rosemary, Tarragon, baked goods, Gardener’s Calendula Hand Salve, Bee Buzzed Honey, Pińon Pantry Jam, Blue Owl Fruit Preserves, and eggs.

10AM – Summer Yoga on the Lawn at the Golden City Brewery
Get a stretchy start to the day with yoga at the Golden City Brewery, then enjoy happy hour pricing on beer afterwards.

10AM-4PMDinosaur Express Train
This is the second and final day for the Dinosaur Express Train at the Railroad Museum. Ride behind a steam locomotive and follow the dinosaur tracks around the Museum’s 15-acre rail yard and enjoy dinosaur themed activities hosted by Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Dinosaur Ridge and Morrison Natural History Museum. Check out an epic LEGO Layout created by DENLUG and build your own dino creations. Usborne Books will host Story Time in the Library. Enjoy tasty food and meet our famous Spike the Railroad Dog and Mr Bones.

10AM-5PMGolden Fine Arts Festival
Now in its 29th year, the Golden Fine Arts Festival offers art, live entertainment, beer and wine gardens, and food vendors. Enjoy the work of 136 artists. They are open today from 10AM-5PM. After that, you’ll have to wait till next year!

2PM – Final performance of Fairfield at Miners Alley Playhouse

5-7:30PM Robbery at the Railroad (Railroad Museum)
Take a ride on the wild side and experience the old west at the Colorado Railroad Museum and this interactive, outdoor experience that includes a ride on a real steam train complete with robbing, gunfights, outlaws, clues and mystery!  You’ll need to keep a weathered eye on the horizon for greedy bad guys, but don’t fret, our local Sheriff and Deputy will do their best to keep everyone safe (or at least give it their best shot). 

6:30PMJefferson Symphony Pops Concert in Parfet Park
One of the highlights of every Golden summer, this concert draws community members of all ages. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy music under the ancient cottonwoods in Parfet Park.
