The Golden Library has FREE programs almost every day of the week: story times for little ones, crafts for teens, book discussions for adults, conversational Spanish, and more. Tonight at 6:30, the UFO group (Unfinished Objects) will meet to work on their projects (scrapbooks, woodwork, embroidery–whatever they’re working on). This gives people a little extra motivation to work on their projects and allows them to socialize while they do it. The library provides the space and some refreshments.
If you value all those free programs, you might want to attend the Jefferson County Citizen Input Meeting for Jeffco Libraries at 7 tonight. This group is exploring alternative approaches to funding the library system, including the possibility of setting up a special district for the library, rather than keeping them grouped with the rest of the county budget.
