Golden Landmarks Association will be hosting an “Olde Fashioned Holiday Shoppe” this Friday and Saturday, featuring hand crafted Christmas decorations, wooden crafts, knitted items, ornaments, wreaths, and much more. They will be set up on the front and side patios of Higher Grounds Coffee Shop (14th and Washington) and in the Golden Landmarks office (next to Higher Grounds). Check out their wonderful collection of historic Golden photos (which would make great gifts for the Golden-lovers in your life!). The Holiday Shoppe Hours will be Friday November 30th from 2-7PM and Saturday December 1st from 10AM-4PM. This means they’ll be there before and during the Candlelight Walk, and after the Olde Golden Christmas parade.
The Local Licensing Authority will meet at 2:30 this afternoon in City Council Chambers. Safeway has requested a Modification of Premises to permanently expand their “fermented malt beverage” area. The judge will also consider a request to transfer the liquor license for Golden Liquors (12th and Ford) to new owners. More information….
