This is the weekend for the Golden Games. Lots of people will be kayaking, slacklining, stand up padding, fly fishing, and generally playing on Clear Creek all weekend. You are invited to watch or participate! Check the Golden Games website to see the schedule of events, and the weather report and the USGS monitoring page to see the conditions.
The City is having some technical difficulties with their broadcasting equipment, so they were unable to broadcast last night’s City Council meeting live. They’ll post an audio recording of the 5/14 City Council meeting, as well as recordings of the 5/12 EdComm, 5/11 GURA, and 5/7 Public Art Commission meetings as soon as possible. In the meantime, they plan to accelerate their plans to buy new equipment this year.
The annual Greener Golden event takes place tomorrow morning from 9-noon. If you ordered a Garden-in-a-Box, that’s where you go to pick it up. They will also have xeric plants available to purchase on the spot. The event takes place at the Golden Public Works Building, 1445 10th Street (map).
