This is a busy week in Golden. Here are several items you might want to get on your calendar:

Tuesday
The Briarwood Inn equipment is up for auction this week, and tomorrow is the day (from 9AM – 4PM) to go inspect the items. If you want to buy something, place a bid online.

The Arthur Lakes Library on the School of Mines campus will host an ED Talk (by Ed Raines, Collection Manager for the Geology Museum) on the People of Leadville Colorado. 4PM.

Wednesday
The Library will host a workshop on Wednesday to make “Mad Scientist Jars.” This is for kids aged 8 to 12. As of last night, there were only 4 spots remaining, so if you want your kids to participate, sign them up now!

Gubernatorial candidate Jared Polis will be at the School of Mines on Wednesday from 7-8PM for a meet and greet and Q&A. You are invited. Ben Parker Student Center, 1200 16th Street (map).

Thursday
Heritage Square Amusement Park Auction, 10:30-6:30.

YETI Night at the Mountaineering Museum, 6-9PM.

Golden High School play: She Kills Monsters. Thurs, Fri, Sat at 7PM and Sat at 2PM. Buy tickets Online.

Friday
Fall Gear Sale at the Mountaineering Center, 6-8PM.

Exhibit Opening Reception at the Quilt Museum from 6-8PM: Fabric Challenge and Paper Art Quilts of Jane Matthews
