Golden Beer Talk Tonight: Peaks to Plains Trail

Golden Beer Talks - Golden Colorado

Tonight’s Golden Beer Talk will feature Scot Grossman of Jefferson County Open Space.  Scot will tell us about the 65 mile Peaks to Plains Trail, which will connect the Denver metro area with the continental divide at Loveland Pass.

Come learn about the successes and challenges of working in harsh, Colorado-style conditions, to realize a decades-old vision of a trail with an elevation drop of 5,600 feet from the Continental Divide, deep into the densely populated Denver metropolitan area.

People will begin to gather at Windy Saddle Cafe (1110 Washington Ave – map) at 6PM.  The talk will begin at approximately 6:35.  Windy Saddle will have dinner available for purchase.  Tonight’s featured beer will come from New Terrain Brewing Company.  Learn more….

The School of Mines wants to remind us that they will be holding commencement exercises both Thursday and Friday of this week.  For this reason, we can expect a lot of additional traffic on and around the campus on those days.  If you have questions or concerns about the events, please contact Tammy Strange, Office of the President, 303-273-3281.  Congratulations to those who are graduating!
