The City will sponsor a fall fitness program during the month of September. In an effort to encourage more exercise, there will be community walks and special events in the parks. Most of the City Councilors will lead one or more morning walks in the course of the month. There will be free Pilates, Zumba, strength training, and other classes in the parks. If you’ve been curious about one of these fitness classes, this is a good chance to try it for free. Mayor Sloan will lead a walk tomorrow morning at 8 AM, starting at Copa Cafe (in the Panorama Medical Building, 660 Golden Ridge Road – map).
Colorado Haunted History is offering a “Murder, Mayhem and Madness” tour tonight at 8, starting at the Visitors Center. The cost is $15 per person. This tour is not recommended for children. Some of the stories of Golden’s early, violent Wild West days are a bit grisly…fascinating though!
