Today is Colorado Gives Day. If you want to see that list of Golden organizations again, see yesterday’s post.  Of course, you can give any time, but by giving today, you qualify the organization to get a fraction of the $1 million incentive fund.

The Jeffco Innovators’ Workshop is hosting a PitchFest tonight from 6-8:30 at City Hall.  They will also have guest speaker Andy KorenyI-Both of Tribologix.  Learn about one of aerospace’s most important suppliers located right here in Golden.  Learn more and register.  This event is free and you’re invited.

Canine and Car Wash

The Planning Commission will meet tomorrow night at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. They will hold public hearings on four topics. 1) A Preliminary Plat to subdivide the old Shelton Ranch into 13 single household lots (map). 2) A request for a special use permit and site plan approval to replace a 1940’s-era home on Ford Street with three townhomes (map). 3) A request for a zoning variance to allow an existing shed to encroach 2.5 feet into the alley setback at 2135 Illinois Street (map). 4) A request for a special use permit and site plan approval for a new car and dog wash to be built at 4409 McIntyre Street (map).  Learn more by reviewing the meeting packet….

The Sustainability Board will also meet tomorrow night. They’ll meet at 6PM in the Public Works Building (1445 10th St. – map).  They will discuss the possibility of waiving building permit fees on residential solar photovoltaic systems, in order to encourage residents to go solar. They will review some proposals for an energy advisor company who can work with Golden homeowners to prioritize energy use improvements.
