The Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum is holding an open house tonight from 6-9PM. Come and visit with our Museum’s Advisory Council members, prominent mineral collectors and sellers, Museum staff and volunteers, Friends of the Museum, old friends and new acquaintances, and browse the expanded Museum Store. Enjoy a variety of new displays. During the past year, the Museum received a collection of rare Colorado Territorial Gold Coins on loan from Jan Meyer, who has graciously allowed us to tell the story of early mints in Colorado. The seventh mural in the Irwin Hoffman series on the History of Mining will be on display. As always, the event offers free appetizers and a cash bar. There is no cover charge. See you there!
The Library is hosting Library XYZ: Funky Bookends from 6:30-7:30 this evening. Generations X, Y and Z gather monthly to explore the quirkier side of pop culture, music, crafts, art, nostalgia, movies, gaming, zines, and more. Whether you’re in your 20s, 30s, or 40s, have fun exploring the funkier side of life.
