The Library will have a DIY Lab about seed-starting for kids under 6 this morning from 11-11:30.  School lets out early today, so the library will have Freaky Friday (games, Legos, etc.) for school-aged kids from 2-3:30.

Rex Rideout - Musician, Golden ColoradoToday’s Concert in the Colorado School of Mines Library will feature Rex Rideout, performing his signature blend of Cowboy music and historical favorites.  The performance is from noon-1; it’s free, and all are welcome.

The Cast Iron Tavern (111 N. Rubey Dr., Unit B, Golden CO – map) will be the site of a launch party for Venture 303 Group, a new real estate group, from 5-7.  All are welcome!

Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum - Golden Colorado

The Quilt Museum will hold their opening reception for their new exhibits, Under the Western Sun and Quilting the Wild West, from 6-8 tonight.  Enjoy refreshments and the first look at the new exhibits!  This is a members-only event, so wouldn’t this be a good time to become a member?  Memberships start at just $30/year.

The School of Mines will have their Spring Music Concert and Fundraiser tonight at 7 in the Green Center (924 16th Street, Golden, CO – map).  Enjoy a free evening of music. The night kicks off with performances from the concert choir and various guitar ensembles, and ends with a performance from the concert band. In addition to great music, the night will include a raffle to raise money for the CSM band. Funds raised will go toward purchasing new instruments, repairing and maintaining current instruments in bad shape, section lesson coaches for the band and orchestra, and more.
