There are a number of events tonight, and a couple next Friday night.
TONIGHT:
- 5PM – The Ansel Adams exhibit opens this weekend at Foothills Art Center. If you’re a member, you can attend the members-only reception tonight. (If you’re not, you can join tonight!) The exhibit opens to the public tomorrow.
- 5PM – Connects Workspace in the Armory is celebrating their grand opening tonight, with a ribbon cutting by the chamber at 5:15. They’ve done a beautiful job of restoring the historic dining hall on the first floor of the Armory, and this is a great opportunity to see it.
- 6PM – The Golden Music Festival opens this evening. Enjoy 3 bluegrass bands tonight at the Clear Creek History Park.
- 6PM – The Railroad Museum is holding one of their Colorado Rails and Cocktails events tonight. Learn about the Life & Times of a Gandy Dancer while you enjoy cocktails.
- 7PM – The Golden Gate Grange is holding a history evening tonight, where long time Golden Gate residents and local historians will tell tales of yesteryear in the canyon.
- 7:30 – Brighton Beach Memoirs at Miners Alley Playhouse is getting good reviews. We’re down to the last three weekends for this play.
NEXT FRIDAY:
- The Golden Chamber of Commerce is 95 YEARS OLD this year, and they will be celebrating with a wine tasting at Red Rocks Country Club. If you’re a Chamber member, or just like to celebrate Golden’s venerable institutions, plan to attend the big soiree! If you buy your ticket today, you’ll save $5!
- Next Friday is also the reception where you can meet the candidates for the City Manager’s job.
