First, the bad news: tonight’s street fair has been cancelled because of the (relatively) cold weather. Now the good: there’s still plenty going on downtown tonight.
Art on the Brix (1299 Washington Ave.) is celebrating their one-year anniversary and they’re hosting a painting party tonight, inviting the community to help them create a “Tree of Life” collaborative painting. There is no admission charge, the hors d’oeuvres are free, and drinks are half price. It will be FUN, so stop in between 5 and 7!
Spirits in the Wind Gallery (1211 Washington Ave.) is opening a new show tonight–Varied Views of Wood. They have some amazing pieces on display. Visit the gallery between 5 and 8, chat with some of the artists, and enjoy free wine tasting with Turquoise Mesa Winery.
Two blocks north, at the American Mountaineering Center, there will be reception from 5-7 to celebrate Saturday’s Solar Homes tour. They’ll have free wine and hors d’oeuvres as well as a Green Expo featuring local solar and energy efficiency companies. You’ll also want to check out the ELECTRIC AND HYBRID CAR RALLY on 10th Street, in front of the Mountaineering Center!
Windy Saddle has live music tonight, starting at 7. Settle in and enjoy an evening with Golden-based band Drama Americana.
