Tomorrow night, the Chamber will be hosting the First Friday Street Fair from 5-9. The theme this month is Hops & Vines – featuring wine at the street fair for the first time. Music will be by Bradford Junction. Altitude Aerial Performers, food vendors, and entertainment for the kids will be on hand. The Street Fair takes place on Washington Avenue, between 12th and 13th Streets.
Be sure to visit the Quilt Museum during the Street Fair, because they’ll be holding an opening reception for their new exhibit, the “Evolutions Juried Quilt Challenge.” The reception runs from 5-8, and admission is free!
After hanging out at the Street Fair and checking out the Quilt Museum, you can wander over to Parfet Park, because the City will be hosting Movies and Music in the Park! Flock of Beagles will be playing 80s music, starting at 7. At dusk, they’ll be showing The Wizard of Oz. Sure, you’ve seen it before, but have you ever seen it on a giant screen? Bring a blanket or a lawn chair (or both, so you can bundle up in your lawn chair), and follow the yellow brick road.
This will be a perfect Golden evening!
