The Downtown Colorado Inc. conference culminated last night with the Governor’s Awards for Downtown Excellence. Golden was honored for the job we did of hosting the USA Pro Challenge Bike Race in 2011. Our Chamber of Commerce President, Gary Wink, was named Colorado’s “Downtowner of the Year” because of the extraordinary work that he, the Chamber staff and hundreds of volunteers do to present our many community celebrations. Congratulations to the Bike Race team and Gary!
