9AM-noon The Under the M Farm Stand (1900 Pinal Road – map) is open this morning. They will have seasonal produce (beets, carrots, cucumbers, strawberries, etc.) plus fresh herbs, baked goods, honey, jams, and fresh roasted coffee beans, and more….

10AM to 5PM This is the final day of the 2019 ArtsWeek Golden. If the heat scared you off from attending the Fine Arts Festival yesterday, you’re in luck–today will be somewhat cooler, and there is still plenty of art on hand. Enjoy a diverse array of artwork from over 100 artists in this nationally juried arts festival. Featuring kids activities, games, food, and drink. The booths are set up along Arapahoe Street and 12th Street, downtown.

10AM-4PM And if you were unable to to attend the Railroad Museum’s 60th Anniversary celebration yesterday, make sure you drop by today, because they’re still offering rides behind the old steam engines today. The Museum’s big weekend event will conclude with Robbery at the Railroad from 5-7:30PM. Tickets and more information….

The Golden City Brewery will host Summer Yoga on the lawn at 10AM, followed by happy hour pricing on beer.

Earth Sweet Botanicals is celebrating Bastille Day with their annual Summer in France event beginning at 10AM. Join them for french cheeses, croissants, jams, drink from their Floral Elixir Bar, photo ops, live music, giveaways, and a general good time. The Fine Arts Festival is right at the store’s doorstep, so combine the two events.

Buffalo Bill and Helen Cody will be at the Buffalo Bill Museum beginning at 12:30. Bill will describe his experiences as a Pony Express rider, and Helen will recall their childhood experiences during the “Bleeding Kansas” era.

2-4PM The Quilt Museum will hold their popular monthly “Sunday in the Museum” event. Elizabeth Akana will tell us about Hawaiian Quilts, and you can enjoy the gorgeous quilts currently on display. The Hawaiian Quilts exhibit is only there until July 20th, so make sure you see it while you can. The small gallery is showing Amish and Mennonite quilts–also well worth seeing. This Tuesday, Dana Jones will be teaching a class at the museum that will guide you through creating a “Gypsy Wife” quilt. Register for the class here….

2-3PM The Library will teach you to decorate your very own space-themed pinata. All ages welcome.

2PM Enjoy some twisted comedy in Fairfield at the Miners Alley Playhouse.

4-7PM The Buffalo Rose will host their monthly Swing Night Supper Club. Dinner specials at 4:00, two and a half hours of live BIG BAND jazz from 5:00 to 7:30 by the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra – featuring Deborah Stafford. Dance or just listen to the great Swing Era music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and more. $15 at the door.
