There’s so much going on in town today!
First, at about 10 this morning (the time has shifted a few times), there will be a grand opening of the West Rail Line. The Governor will be on the first train. The RTD color guard and the CSM marching band will be on hand. There will be refreshments, giveaways, a community fair, and free rides on the W line all day! (Just to provide a bit of advance notice, there will be an even bigger celebration tomorrow (Saturday), when every station along the line will hold parties, and the entire light rail system, all over the metro area, will be free.)
There will be an improv show at the High School tonight at 7. The tickets are $3 at the door, and all proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs.
Miners Alley Playhouse is offering a special all weekend, to celebrate the arrival of the W line: $5 off each ticket when you use the code WATER in their online box office or mention it when buying tickets over the phone. The new play, The Memory of Water, is getting good reviews!
A gathering of belly dancing aficionados is in town this weekend for classes and performances. There will be a performance tonight at the Buffalo Rose, at 7:45. Tickets are $20.
Is that enough variety for you?
