This is Cinco de Mayo, and many of the bars & restaurants will be celebrating with special drinks & menus.
The Craft Box, which is a craft supplies store at 16399 S. Golden Road (map) will hold a charity give away on Saturday, May 6th. If you sew, knit, crochet or create in any way for a charity, visit the store tomorrow and take supplies for free. The first official Golden Super Cruise is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) from 5-8:30. Expect to see beautiful classic cars driving around town all day.
The Railroad Museum is hosting Steampunk at the Station Saturday from 10-4. They’ll have steam train rides, craft beer, vendors, and lots of people dressed for “science fiction meets the 19th Century industrial age.” Should be a lot of fun! Learn more….

Also Saturday night, West Side Live! Presents The Mendelssohn Trio. The trio has performed in the United States, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They perform standard 18th and 19th century pieces, as well as 20th century composers such as the Americans Muczynski, Copland and the young Suzanne Sorkin, as well as the Europeans Martinu, Bridge, Martin and Bloch.
