The Golden Library has many interesting DIY events; two of them are scheduled for this afternoon. DIY Explorers is for grades 6-12 and meets from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. The class is for students who like to invent, create, and reimagine things and includes an awesome low-tech or high-tech hands-on activity. It’s free, but you’ll want to let them know you’re coming. There are 11 spaces left as of this morning.
DIY Lab follows the Explorers class from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This is a drop-in class for all ages to use the DIY space and get creative. Registration for this event is not necessary.
For you older kids, the American Mountaineering Museum is sponsoring an exciting talk at 7:00 p.m. by Ted and Christy Mahon who skied the Centennials (highest 100 mountains) in Colorado. You’ll be able to meet Ted and Christy during a social hour prior to the lecture at 6:00 p.m. Tickets include one free beer.
