Foothills Art Center: Viewing, Creating, Meditating

Foothills Art Center is about to spring into action.  Their two new exhibitions–the Members’ Show and The Power of Process by Jeffco Students–will open tomorrow.  They’re offering a preview for members only tonight from 6-8PM.  These shows will run from February 3rd – April 23rd.

Did you know that Foothills hosts an Open Studio every Friday from 10-3?  If you’re short on space, short on natural light, or short on company, visit the Art Center to get your creative juices flowing.

Would you like to draw, but think you lack the talent?  This Saturday, February 4th, Foothills Art Center is offering “Drawing for People Who Think They Can’t.”  This is the perfect opportunity to uncover your hidden talents.

They will begin hosting “Mindful Meditation” for members only this Monday, February 6th, from 9-10AM.  They will offer this session every Monday that the Center is open (it’s closed on the 20th for Presidents Day).

Toddler Tuesday will kick off on Tuesday the 7th from 10-11AM.  This program is designed for families with children aged 18 months to 3 years.

Single?  Foothills Art Center will host a Singles Night (“Art of Love with Meetmindful“) on the 16th.  This is your chance to meet others with similar interests such as yoga, healthy living, and sustainability.

Thursday night the 23rd is Art on Tap.  Create some spin art while enjoying Golden City Beer!  Come with friends or a date.

Looking ahead, Foothills Art Center plans to take a members trip to Santa Fe April 28th-30th.  Participants will enjoy two nights in Santa Fe, including lunch at La Fonda, a guided tour through the Georgia O’Keefe museum, and more.  You must register by March 1st.
