The West Denver Chapter of Trout Unlimited meets at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds for its monthly program this evening. The group starts off with a fly-tying corner and social time before a short business meeting usually followed by a program. Trout Unlimited works to conserve, protect, and enhance Colorado’s coldwater fisheries and has two projects of local interest: the Clear Creek Golden Mile Renovation (completed in 2009) and River Watch (ongoing). The public is welcome and encouraged to attend to learn more about this group!
Tickets are still available for the Colorado Railroad Museum‘s Colorado Rails and Cocktails event this Friday. Curator Lauren Giebler will talk about “The American Hobo” and explore who rides the rails and why. Admission includes two beverages of your choice of beer, wine, or soda.
