The Denver Postcard & Paper Show takes place at the Jeffco Fairgrounds today and tomorrow (Fri and Sat) from 9:30AM-4PM. Not only will you find thousands of antique and collectible postcards but also trade cards, stereoview cards, photographs and other paper memorabilia. For beginning collectors there are even bargain boxes of cards starting at 25 cents each. $5 admission is good for both days.  Learn more….

First-year Colorado School of Mines honors students will present their final design projects tonight from 5:30-6:30 at the IDEAS (Innovation and Discovery in Engineering, Art, and Science) Reception. The year-long IDEAS class immerses students in a multifaceted investigation of engineering and science, design, ethics, and the arts.  The reception will be held at Foothills Art Center (809 15th Street – map). It is FREE and open to the public.

The Railroad Museum is hosting Colorado Rails and Cocktails tonight from 6:30-8:30. The topic will be Otto Perry, Master Photographer. Relax, have a beverage, and travel back to a time when railroads shaped the American West. Learn more….

Elevation 2018 Belly Dance Extravaganza takes place this weekend in Golden. This includes a number of classes and workshops. The Elevation 2018 Gala Showcase will take place tomorrow night at 8PM at the American Mountaineering Center. Doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $20-45 online, $5 higher if purchased at the door.

Tomorrow is the 5th of May, so several restaurants will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo, including Trailhead Taphouse, Table Mountain Inn, and El Dorado Mexican Restaurant.  Details to follow tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the first Golden Super Cruise of the season. The official hours are 5-8:30PM, but you can expect to see beautiful classic cars around town all day. The main event is along South Golden Road, from Taco Bell to King Soopers.

The Golden Concert Choir will perform their spring concert tomorrow night: Nocturnes – Songs of the Night. A silent auction will begin at 3:30 and the concert begins at 4. The concert takes place at the Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church (map)

West Side Live! Presents is also hosting a performance tomorrow night. Do you want your kids to become strong and masterful swimmers? The GOLDEN MARLINS SWIM TEAM is currently registering for the summer swim season. It’s a great opportunity for kids to participate in a fun and dynamic environment while getting fit and confident in the pool.
