There was a significant grass fire in New Loveland Mine Park (map) yesterday afternoon. It came so close to near-by homes that residents were evacuated. The incident was called in at 3:21PM and closed at 5PM. Firefighters from Golden, Pleasant View, and Fairmount all turned out to extinguish the fire.
