The Colorado Environmental Film Festival starts tomorrow! Check the schedule and the film descriptions so you don’t miss something great!
The Railroad Museum has some interesting events lined up this weekend. Friday night is their Colorado Rails and Cocktails event. From 6:30-8, enjoy wine, beer, or soda with snacks while you learn about the impact of African Americans in Colorado train history. This month’s speaker is Sid Wilson, a noted local historian. Admission is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. You must be 21 to attend. These events sometimes sell out, so buy your ticket in advance, either online or by calling 303-279-4591.

On Saturday, Railroad Museum director Donald Tallman will lead a special behind-the-scenes tour, starting at 10:30AM. Donald will give you the insider’s scoop and show his favorite spots around the museum–including some that are not accessible to visitors. This tour is $20 for museum members and $25 for non-members. Reservations are required by close of business TODAY (Weds the 17th).
Also on Saturday is the first event in the Golden Stories series, celebrating the Golden Transcript’s 150th year! Goldenites are invited to stop by Windy Saddle Cafe from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and participate by sharing their stories of Golden. John Akal will get the event rolling with a couple stories of his own. The stories will be videotaped and shared on the Golden Transcript’s website.
