Farmers Market, Pig Roast, Carriage Rides, and Live Music Today

The Golden Farmers Market will be running at 10th & Illinois from 8AM-1PM today.


The City reports that there will be periodic road closures on Lookout Mountain this morning from 8AM-12PM:

The Lookout Mountain Hill Climb bicycle race takes place on Saturday, from 8 am to 12 pm. Registration is at Beverly Heights Park, and the race begins at the pillars. There will be road closures associated with the cycling event, however, marshals will be letting local traffic through during breaks between riders. Pig Roast at the American Legion in Golden Colorado

American Legion Post 21 is holding their 11th Annual Support Our Troops Pig Roast today, starting at 3PM.  They’ll have live music, raffles, and door prizes.  The cost is $15.  All proceeds go to support military troops.  The address is 500 9th St. (map).


Enjoy free carriage rides downtown from 5-7PM and live music on Washington Avenue from 5-8PM.  Most of the merchants will be open till 8PM and many of them have special events and sampling in their stores.
