Golden lost a town elder and one of its Living Landmarks last week. Donna Miller had lived in Golden since 1956. Her husband Sam was a prof at the School of Mines. Donna was one of the founders of the Golden Landmarks Association and served as its president for many years. She was instrumental in saving the Astor House from demolition. Former City Councilor Marcie Miller is one of Donna’s three children. Her memorial service will be held this afternoon at 1PM at Calvary Church, 1320 Arapahoe St. Learn more in her obituary….
Saoirse Charis-Graves will have her Coffee with a Councilor tomorrow morning from 10-11 at Bean Fosters. Judging by the amount of discussion regarding the Heritage Road roundabouts on Nextdoor, I suspect there will be a good turnout.

Dave Powers has a wonderful photography exhibit at the Golden Library right now. All of the photos were taken in Golden, which makes it extra-interesting to those of us who live here. The Library is located at 1019 10th St. (map). They’re open Friday and Saturday from 9-5, Sunday from 12-5, and Monday through Thursday from 9-8.
