Celestial News
Today at 2:01PM is the autumnal equinox, which means this is the first day of fall. The sun will rise at 6:46AM and set at 6:58PM. This is also the last warm day that we’ll have for a while. The forecast says that the next several days will be in the 50s and 60s. We have several more weeks of Daylight Savings Time–the clocks change on November 5th.
Send the Kids to the Library
School’s out early today, so the Golden Library will host Freaky Friday from 2-3:30. Early release days from school are meant for, well, letting go! Join us at the library for games, LEGO® fun, and crafts.
Meet the Candidates
We have an election this fall, including all four wards for City Council. Councilor Brown will host the Ward 3 Candidate (Jim Dale) tomorrow morning at 10AM at Norman D. Park. Councilor Saoirse Charis-Graves will host the Ward 2 Candidates (Deborah Ann Deal, Paul Haseman, Daniel Sung, and Josh Thompson) at 1PM at Bean Fosters.
These will be informal gatherings, where you can ask questions of the candidates. There will be a formal Candidates Forum on October 5th from 6:30-8:0.
