The County Fair starts today (Friday) over at the Jeffco Fairgrounds. The daytime activities including 4-H livestock judging, embroidery and smocking demonstrations. There will be several competitions in craft categories, including Pottery, Ceramics, Needle Arts, Sewing, Quilting, Painting, Sketching, Collectables, Nature, Holiday, Misc. Craft, Recycled Jewelry, Paper Craft, Stained Glass, Leather, Metal, Wood, Pantry, Horitculture, Floriculutre, Photography, Miscellaneous. The carnival will start at 5, and “An Evening of Horses” begins at 7 in the Rodeo Arena. See the Jefferson County Fair website for details.
Movies and Music in the Park will start tonight at 7, with Dwight Mark performing. The Muppet Movie will begin at dusk. Bring blankets or low chairs. There will also be food vendors at the park to supply your popcorn, pizza, and other food needs.
