  • The first snow arrived on November 4th.
  • Golden Police Officer Evan Dunn was killed while assisting with a traffic accident. Officer Bethany Grusing was critically injured in the same incident.

  • The School of Mines was making rapid progress on their new residence hall, south of 19th Street
  • The Planning Commission continued hearing a plan to build five additional dwelling units in the side and back yards of a single family home on 6th Street.
  • The Planning Commission discussed ways to expedite affordable housing projects.
  • Tom Schweich, who had been posting weekly articles about Golden wildflowers, switched to posting articles about Golden's Open Space parcels.
  • Golden High School presented Hamlet. Miners Alley Performing Arts Center closed a Sherlock Holmes play and opened A Christmas Carol.
  • The Golden History Museum presented a lecture on Colorado in the Civil War.
  • The Downtown Development Authority approved a grant to allow the owner of 1418 Ford Street, in the Central Neighborhood, to install air conditioning. The property owner stated that he expected to sign a lease with Foothills Cremation & Funeral Service but added that they did not plan to do embalming at that location.
  • The City purchased an apartment complex in the Central Neighborhood to serve as affordable housing.
  • Golden Beer Talks hosted Terre Deegan Young, who discussed her experiences in Viet Nam.
  • The Chamber of Commerce and Golden City Brewery hosted a VIBE @ Five gathering.
  • GoFarm held their 10th annual Harvest Dinner at the Buffalo Rose.
  • Concerned about the City's plan to build a new municipal center without consulting the voters, a group called Golden Residents Count began gathering signatures on a petition to require voter approval on expenditures greater than $20 million.
  • The City accelerated plans to borrow $52 million before the petition process could be completed.
  • Foothills Art Center opened their 49th Annual Holiday Art Market. This was the first Market held in their Astor House location.
  • In a carryover from the 2020 pandemic shutdown, the Library continued their Virtual/Call In Active Minds series. November sessions covered the Mississippi River, Mayans, and Winston Churchill
  • The Golden Mill and BGoldN hosted aThanksgiving Feast for all.
