City Council meets tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. The consent agenda includes two water-related items. The owner of 16820 Golden Hills Road, which lies outside the city limits, has asked to connect to Golden’s water distribution system. Since the house is not in the city, the owner will pay twice the normal impact fee up front and twice the normal rate for water in the future. The second consent item is approval of a contract to replace the filter gallery piping in the water treatment plant, at a cost of $1.395 million They will discuss a memo by the City Manager regarding this fall’s Capital Improvement Plan. Steve Glueck will discuss how the city deals with landscaping and construction that property owners have placed in the City right of way at the edge of their property. See the meeting packet for more information….
