It’s easy to obsess about national politics, since news outlets keep us constantly primed with new information about Congress and the President. On a day to day basis, though, the decisions made by Golden’s City Council have more direct effect on our lives. This fall, we’ll be voting for our two district representatives and for a new Mayor.
Casey Brown from District One is running unopposed for a second term. Saoirse Charis-Graves is term limited in District Two, so two candidates are vying for her job. Mayor Marjorie Sloan is also term limited, and there are two candidates running for Mayor.
Here are this fall’s candidates with links to their websites:
Mayor:
Don Cameron
Laura Weinberg
District 1:
Kimberly Brock
JJ Trout
District 2:
Casey Brown
