Elections and Dinosaurs

There’s an election coming up this fall.  You can meet the candidates for county office tonight from 7-9 at the Jefferson County building 100 Jefferson County Parkway (map).

Candidates for Jefferson County Sheriff, Coroner, Commissioner, Clerk and Recorder, Treasurer, and Assessor have been invited to answer your questions and address your concerns.  This event is hosted by the League of Women Voters.

Tomorrow morning at the Unitarian Church, you can meet Andy Kerr (incumbent Colorado Senate District 22) and Jane Goff (incumbent State Board of Education, district 7), and learn about the ballot issues: Amendments 67 and 68 and Propositions 104 and 105.  That meeting starts at 9:30.  Learn more….

If elections aren’t your cup of tea, you might enjoy tonight’s Sauropod program at Dinosaur Ridge from 7-8.  There are lots of different types of long neck dinosaurs, but how many are there? What did they do? What did they eat? Tonight, you can learn about the lives and times of the long neck sauropods.This is a free event and will be held in the classroom above Trek Through Time.  16831 West Alameda Parkway (map).
