The forecast calls for more snow tomorrow, and I haven’t heard whether the egg hunt in Parfet Park will be held regardless of weather. In any case, here are two other options for Easter fun on Saturday the 26th.
The Golden Gate Grange is having an Eggmania party, followed by an Easter Egg hunt. Bring your hard-boiled eggs, and we will provide all the materials for decorating and dyeing. This will be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt and visit from the Easter Bunny. No need to bring Easter baskets! We will provide each child with their own basket. This is a free event and open to all in the community! 1-3PM
The Golden Gate Grange is located at 25201 Golden Gate Canyon Road just 4 miles west of Route 93 in Golden. (map)
The Railroad Museum will have their Bunny Express Train running from 10AM to 4PM, and believe me, a steam locomotive has no trouble getting through the snow! (In fact, watch their video showing the old train clearing the tracks!)
The Railroad Museum is also having a rummage sale tomorrow, so if you’re a train buff, be sure you stop by. They’ll have railroad-related art prints, posters, books, calendars and some artifacts for sale this Saturday during the Bunny Express. Find some cool stuff for your collection, and help fund Museum programs!
