The Golden Family Easter Egg Hunt will start in Parfet Park at 10AM. It will probably be over by 10:03AM, so DON’T BE LATE! The hunt is free and open to ages 9 and under. Many of the Easter Eggs will include treats and messages donated by the downtown merchants, so after the hunt, plan to enjoy a stroll down the Avenue!
Golden Family Easter is hosted by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Merchants, the Golden Kiwanis Club, Builders Club, Key Club, and Circle K. Thanks to all of those organizations for dedicating so much time and money to this fun event for Golden’s kids!
The Bunny Express Train at the Railroad Museum will be operating from 10AM-4PM. Enjoy a ride in a vintage passenger coach pulled by a steam-powered locomotive.
Meet the Easter Bunny and Spike the Railroad Dog. Join in the fun of a Bunny Hop Sack Race, Egg Rolling, Bean Bag Toss, and Egg Carry. Enjoy the entertainment of balloon twisters, face painters, stilt walkers and turntable demonstrations. Infinitus Pie and Skadi’s food trucks will be providing tasty and healthy cuisine on our pavilion. Fill your Easter Baskets with Darbo Kettle Corn, Mountain Man Fruit & Nuts and gifts from our Depot Gift Store.
Admission: Museum members and Children under 2 are free, $5 Children (ages 2-15), $15 Adults and $10 Seniors (ages 60+). Admission includes unlimited rides on our Steam Engine as well as entertainment throughout the grounds. We will be open to the public from 9:00AM-5:00PM with entertainment and events running 10:00AM-4:00PM.
As I mentioned yesterday, the Heritage Amusement Park will be open today from 11AM-5PM. They’ll have an Easter Egg hunt for 2-6 year olds at noon and another for 7-12 year olds at 1PM. Get a free picture with the Easter Bunny! Bring a picnic or buy food from the Garden Grill. All rides and attractions are scheduled to be open.
