It’s Earth Day! Here are a few ideas for the day.
Shelton Elementary is breaking ground on their community garden today from 9-12. Volunteers from Denver Urban Gardens will be there, as will Mayor Sloan. Feel free to enjoy them in working on the garden.
Golden High School is hosting Earth Fest from 10-3. There will be lots of activities, live music, local sustainable vendors, tree planting, kids’ games, school clean-up, and much, much more. You’re invited!
In celebration of Earth Day, Earth Sweet Botanicals invites you to stop by between noon and 6 to sample delicious drinks and delectable nibbles (such as rose hip pound cake or orange elixer drizzled crepes) from their Floral Elixir Bar. They’re also having discounts, giveaways, and they’re giving 10% of the day’s proceeds to the Golden Community Garden.
The Library is having a Fuzzy Friends Sleepover tonight. Bring your favorite stuffed animal into the library to today’s 4PM storytime. Go back tomorrow at 1 and watch the slideshow that reveals the shenanigans that went on during the stuffed animal slumber party.
